SIX-INCH GUN AND CREW

"It must not be supposed that these men have grasped the things that first came to hand. Each one is so trained that before the officer has finished the word of command he has taken his position as indicated in the photograph. There was no posing for this photograph. It was merely a matter of seconds. Each gun has its own crew and each member of the crew has his stated duty. The marksman is the main factor, and the other members of the crew attend to their respective details like the smaller wheels of a clock," - Johnston |
